We Can Wait Upon The Lord With Faith. By A. Nonie Mouse

Published by Cathie Branscheid on

God works for us as we wait and trust.

We can do little in our own strength and what we do lasts only for a short time and is of poor quality.

What God does lasts forever; complete, needing nothing.

To be truly alive, joyful, confident we need the Lord with us and for us.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

We may be surrounded by challenges, saddened by loss or wrongful treatment, lied about, disoriented, but God is still there to uphold, protect and yes to fight for us.

The Lord is Gracious.

The hard part for us is to remember things. We get distracted by things. “Noise”. “Rushing.” Life can be so overwhelming.

Be still! Know that I AM God.

Be still? How can I be still? There’s so much to do.

You will achieve more by stilling your mind and spirit. REST in me. I am the end from the beginning, my course is unblocked from your distractions:

BE STILL and see me doing for you and with you.

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

Isaiah 30:18 (ESV)

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

James 5:7-8 (ESV)
